Nyligen besöktes Terrificvines vinmässa i Stockholm. Den stora behållningen var att få träffa Xavier Gramona och åter få prova deras fantastiska Cavor. De var precis så bra som man kommer ihåg från besöket på gården i Spanien. Dessutom rätades ett frågetecken ut. Deras Cava III Lustros uttalas Tres Lustros.
Vi provade
- Gramona Imperiale Brut Gran Reserva 2011
- Gramona III Lustros Brut Natur Gran Reserva 2009
- Gramona Celler Battle Brut Gran Reserva 2006
- Gramona Enoteca Brut Gran Reserva 2001
Recently a wine fair in Stockholm was visited. The great experience was to meet Xavier Gramona and once more be able to taste their fantastic Cavas. They are still as i impressive as when we visited the farm in Spain. He also explained that their Cava III Lustros is pronounced tres Lustros.
We tried
- Gramona Imperiale Brut Gran Reserva 2011
- Gramona III Lustros Brut Natur Gran Reserva 2009
- Gramona Celler Battle Brut Gran Reserva 2006
- Gramona Enoteca Brut Gran Reserva 2001
The wines were all very nice. Nose wow feeling with a soft sherry impression. Mouth long lingering mousse and aftertaste. Enoteca is a really a class of itself and not surprisingly classified as Spain’s best Cava.
The secret with Gramonas success is their family Solera used for liqueur de expedition. Xavier explained
To serve a Brut Nature Cava is like a chef that serves grilled meat plain without sauce. The success for a good Chef is to serve meat a fantastic sauce that lifts experience. The Liqueur de expedition is the sauce for a Brut Cava.
